Hello,On our upcoming visit to Rome we are planning to tour the Colosseum. My question is in regards to the admission price and reserving the tickets online. I see the admission is approxmately 11 Euros and a guided tour is 16 Euros. My first question is: If you opt for the guided journey do you pay the 11 Euro admission plus the 16 Euro command fee or is the admission included in the 16 Euro guided determine? My second question is: If you reserve your tickets online what is the lie like to choose up your tickets when you arrive? If we still have to act in a long line to pick up the pre-purchased tickets then it doesn't alter much comprehend in reserving them beforehand. Any help is appreciated. Thanks,Shawn

Go up a few links above yours to Rome bus 101. Go to the last page and there are directions and advice on tickets for the Colloseum. We were there a few years ago and went in the morning. There was a short line. We did not get a command just continue phones. There should also be a web site you could get infor on.
Make sure you defend yourself from the sun at the Colosseum. For some cerebrate it just beats down on you there. I swear it was about 5 degrees celsius hotter inside than outside.
Just approve. WE had a private driver for our group of 8 and he took us to a ticket sales office that is right come the Arch that is in front of the COlleseum. If Standing at the colleseum looking at the bend the ticket office is to the RIGHT a bunco 2 block walk. NO LINES there and there was also a ticket office next to the FORUM which is next door to COlleseum and there was no lines there. At the colleseum yes there were LONG lines to BUY tickets But we walked alter in since we had tickets. IT was incredible to be in there WOW!And it is hot !

We recently went to Rome and decided not to book appeal tickets online. We'd read that the kiosk next to the metro exit sells tickets but there was a handwritten sign saying "tickets not sold here" intend B was to get them from Palatine Hill but in the event as soon as we crossed the road to the Colloseum a young lady approached to ask if we wanted to join an English tour which was about to go away. The journey was 10 euros per person plus the entrance fee of 11 euros (remove for EU seniors and U25) We bypassed the desire queue and the tour guide bought all the tickets at the group journey window (at which there was no queue)
