A date or hookup lifestyle sounds perfect for what I’m looking for right now, I wanna see that there are other types of guys out there, and I want them, I want to date them and hookup with them. I think I’ll travel across country as well, I have no ties left back here, my family moved away from me, they live on the east cost now, maybe I’ll make my way to them. And along the way I’ll date and hookup with randoms along the road. Yeah, this seems like a much more fun, more exciting lifestyle… I’m sure my parents wouldn’t approve, but what have they done for me lately.

I don’t think I’m doing this out of revenge… I mean my boyfriend did cheat on me with my best friend… but this isn’t my personal way of lashing out at him by going around and dating and hooking up with random people across the country…. I just want to see what I’ve been missing. That’s all.

Bars are full of creepers, you never know who’s going to try and pick you up. Anyways, enough about me, let’s talk about Nav. Nav is a man I met while online dating in Canada . He’s amazing, we’ve gone on 4 dates, the first was a romantic walk on the beach as the sun was setting, and afterwards we had a candlelit dinner in this great little Italian place he knew.

We loved the first date and chatted a bit more in a Canadian online dating site and decided to go dancing for our next date. Wow! I love dancing, and he was definitely a skilled dancer. I stepped on his feet a few times and I actually ended up falling once. ( I’ve never been ballroom dancing before) I had a lot of fun regardless. Our third and fourth dates weren’t as spectacular, but every night out with Nav is amazing to me.

Anyways, after chatting a few more times in the Canadian online dating site, we decided to to go steady. This is fantastic, I haven’t officially had a boyfriend, (well, at least one that treats me as good as Nav ) in years, I’m very happy. online dating in Canada really set me up for the win here, and I owe it a lot. At work the next day, Tavis told me he checked his email this morning and there was a message from each of the girls from the online dating site. They suggested we chat some more, and maybe us guys could come own for a weekend and we’d all go camping or something.

Within two hours, she responded to my message, “wow, you’re looking really good Danny! It’s been what? Eight years since I’ve seen you?! I’ll be in town this weekend, call me!” my jaw hit the floor… Mary, my secret crush wants to get a drink… and told me I looked good! I think I jumped right out of my seat.

She is the culmination of everything I’ve ever wanted in a woman. I dreamed that I would some day kiss her soft cheeks… and now I can! It’s amazing! I’ve never felt like this. I know I’ve sort of dragged this story out, but I feel really special right now, thanks to On line Dating I’m with my dream girl and I couldn’t be happier. Anyways, all throughout high school I had the biggest crush on Mary, she barely knew I existed, and even if she did, she certainly didn’t care about me. But no luck dating in Vancouver BC yet, I’ll keep trying though, I’m not quitter, I mean, what do I have to lose…? Another lonely Thursday night watching leno? Exactly. that’s kinda why I’m writing this, I really would like to know if there are any good dating sites for single men in United States. I know the sites in Canada are great, I’ve been in two relationships with women I met on line up there, but I haven’t had much luck finding a dating sites for single men in United States yet.

Ok, so I get out to her city, and we meet up at a red robins, we have lunch and we are both just discussing how incredibly strange it is that we recognize each other without having any contact ever save for the contact in the free dating site.

We finish dinner and decide to go see a movie. After the movie we head back to her place, and because we snuck a few bottles of wine into the theatre, she suggests I stay over so I don’t have to drive 8 hours after drinking. This is where the story gets funny. As we walk into her dark house, she guides me to the living room and sits me on the couch, she tells me she’ll be right back, I look over to her computer and see that the free dating site which we met on is on the monitor, guess she was gonna message me. Anyways, she flicks on the light as she walks out of the room and it hits me.

I see all the family photos on the walls and there in the slick gold frames I see photos of my parents, my aunts, my uncles… this girl was somehow related to me! I jumped up and called her in, as she comes running in I point to the picture and cringe… that’s my mom….and my dad…. She dropped her glass of water and in that brief moment of realization we both burst out laughing… turns out I met a third cousin on a free dating site, I hadn’t seen her since I was a kid, that’s why I was able to recognize her, I used to play with her whenever our families would visit… So, the moral of the story is, if your gonna use a free dating site… or already are using a free dating site… you might just want to do a background check on any people you meet while on a free dating site… we are good friends now by the way, so not all was lost.

Yes, the story does have a point, and yes, there is a lesson to be learned from it. I call this story, the “beware of who you’re talking to on free dating sites”, yeah it’s a crappy title, but it’s a work in progress so cut me some slack.

Oh well, it all started about 4 months ago when I decided that for the first time ever, I would attempt to find love over the internet. I’d never experienced this mystical feeling they call love, so I felt there was nothing to lose. I joined a free dating site, actually, two free dating sites, but I later dropped one after I discovered some “hidden fees”. Anyways, so I’m surfing this free dating site, checking out all the features and of course, all of the beautiful women. When I come across this one girl who, who looks oddly familiar. I can’t quite put my finger on who she was, but I know I had seen her face before. Turns out she was born and raised about 8 hours from me so the likelihood of us ever meeting was very slim. Well, on with the story now, so I message this girl who I am immediately infatuated with, I mean she’s really really cute, so I message her via free dating site and await her reply. About two days later, after I’d almost completely forgotten her, I get a message stating “oh my god, you look familiar, do I know you?” WEIRD right?

I mentioned nothing about recognizing her in my message so this was just freaky. Oh well. So we chatted it up on the free dating site quite a bit, probably for a month or two before we actually decided that I would head out there to meet her. Shoot, I’m out of words, look for part. 2.
